It's complicated. I have an M-Audio Profire 2626 set up on firewire that I want to use with Mainstage for performance. I just don't want to have to buy a new IO box. I have a Mac Mini for the job which is currently running OS 10.13. I would like to backdate this install to 10.8 as that is the last OS that the M-audio drivers will support.

Then I realized that there are no Windows 10 drivers for my Profire 6262 so I had a try with the Windows 7/8 drivers. The profire acutally is working with those drivers but only for a minute or so. After that it just stops working.

Hey everyone, have an old m-audio profire 610 audio interface that was sitting around for years now. I been thinking about using it again but I notice it doesn't have drivers for windows 10 (windows 8 is the last update I believe) and no longer supported by m-audio.

Yeah, it's BS that they are dropping the Duet and Ensemble FireWire units considering El Cap is basically a maintenance release. I hope at least these will still work on El Cap (anyone who tries, please report back) as I have an Ensemble and not willing to fork up the big bucks for the new Tbolt Ensemble just to have a working audio interface again. But, considering they need low-level drivers, I'm not holding much hope they'll still function.
