Upon speaking on the matter of 900MHz wireless headsets (Plantronics CS50,Plantronics CS540-XD) & 1.9GHz wireless headsets (Plantronics CS540), the context is related to the signal transmitted by device-it is modulation & frequency that form a signal.


With my old Cisco routers (I've had two), one of which intermittently quite working (the other one all the ports went out) I was getting download speeds of about 90 mbs. The blue lines on the graph indicate occasional transmissions and their signal strength. The red lines indicate constant transmissions. In the above illustration, it's probably an audio device like a cordless phone, wireless speaker, or audio baby monitor. It would clobber any Wi-Fi device using Channel 1!


Starting from ArubaOS 8.6.0.7, users can issue the disable-crc-workaround command when port flaps of the uplink switch are not detected by the Mobility Master. This command dumps all the PHY register data like alarms, warnings, signal strength and hence, will be helpful for debugging.
